Global copper market in deficit

World refined copper consumption exceeded production by 67,000 tonnes between January and April this year, against a surplus of 74,000 tonnes in the same year- ago period, the International Copper Study Group ( ICSG) said in its latest monthly bulletin. The Lisbon- based ICSG said world refined copper output in the first four months of this year was 6.221 million tonnes and consumption was 6.288 million tonnes. — Reuters
