National Aluminium Co cut prices by 3.5 per cent, its fourth reduction in two months, to match a decline in global rates. Nalco, as the company is known, lowered prices by as much as Rs 4,000 a tonne, Chairman Mr C.R. Pradhan said in a telephone interview. Aluminium ingots will be sold at about Rs 1,11,400. ''We will review if we need to lower output by the end of the month,'' he said. ''Prices have fallen because demand has taken a hit.'' The new rates are effective starting Thursday.
